The e-Series battery switches have been around for a long time, and are commonly found on many boats. They are reverse compatible with all older versions of the same part number, so make great replacements for worn out switches. The 5511e is an OFF-1-2-COMBINE switch. This is a double pole switch, that combines two sources with two loads (independently) in the ON position. On the COMBINE position, it shorts all four terminals together, combining both sources and both loads. This is common for a single engine one house bank setup. If using it in this say, you would normally have an ACR, like our EGIS XD flex for house bank charging.
