Great little item to secure items to the stock on your AR-15, like a TQ, chem lights, etc. I highly recommend it for ANY long gun you own! So why just 4 stars? The rear of the Stock Sock is sewn together with slightly limits it’s fit and utility to certain stocks. I did make a small change to mine, trying to “fix” what I thought was an issue with running the Stock Sock on a B5 SOPMOD stock. I have a detachable butt plate on my AR-15 with an M:4 Multitasker Tool underneath it, and removing the entire Stock Sock wasn’t a feasible solution to get to the M:4 tool. So I removed the sewn seam on the rear of the stock sock, replacing it with some coyote colored Velcro one-wrap sewn onto the two rear flaps. Works great, and allows me to both access the butt pad for removal. A side effect I noticed is it also allows me to get a much more snug fit with the Stock Sock on all the various AR stocks I own (BCM, LMT, Magpul), but also on bolt action and shotguns. So I repeated the process on my 2 other Stock Socks allowing me to really make it form-fit it to the stock it’s on. I would love to see Blue Alpha update future versions of the Stock Sock with something similar, as adjusting that rear fit makes it much more universally adaptable and prevents any slipping while running tactical drills. Again, highly recommended item! I own 3 and will add them to each long gun I own. You won’t be disappointed!
