Product Description EGIS 7023 Marine Grade Sealed Contactor (100A) Our EGIS 7023 is brings a great high density current switching in a sealed waterproof container. With 100A continuous current rating and form factor smaller than 2 1/2″ it packs a punch without taking up valuable space. A contactor is just another name for a relay. The purpose: To switch high current loads with a low current switch. Easy to surface mount with integrated screw tabs, this contactor is built for use with an endurance of over 6,000 cycles at full current load, and a 1,250A interrupt capability! If you’re experiencing smaller relays heating up on those higher loads, or pushing the current rating of a smaller relay this contactor may be a great choice. The coil has flying wire leads, easy to butt connect or land on a term block. The contacts sport hefty M5 18-8 Stainless screw terminals, self-locking. On boats, this would be a great choice for a remote master house disconnect (like when you want a “main” switch on the panel) – or any case where you’re switching a really high current load (like a massive light bar, or stereo amp, or windlass) with a rocker or push button switch on the panel. With only 0.46A holding current on the coil, this contactor/relay can be switched with almost any switch. The 7023 is the 12V version – which applies to the coil. So you should use this where the switch is on a 12V nominal system (8 – 16Vdc operational voltage range). For more tech-data see Complete 7023 Spec Sheet Here
